The branch has to announce that Nellie has died.

Nellie who has served our community - through thick and thin - and a great ambassidor for Hucknall and Nottinghamshire will be sadly missed.

Nellie who has served as an elected member not only on Nottinghamshire County Council but also Ashfield District Council. She has lived all her life in Hucknall, and leaves a daughter and grand child.

Her funeral is on Thursday 5th October 2006 at St Mary's Church, Market Place, Hucknall at 11am. No flowers, but donations to Breast Cancer.
